By the end of this course, the student should be able to create Application Security Policies and describe how F5 Advanced Web Application Firewall protects a web application by securing file types, URLs, and parameters. In addition, the student be able to tune a policy manually or allow automatic policy building, configure protection against brute force attacks and many other common tasks concerning traffic processed through the BIG-IP AWAF system.
This course is intended for SecOps personnel responsible for the deployment, tuning, and day-to-day maintenance of F5 Adv. WAF.
Participants will obtain a functional level of expertise with F5 Advanced WAF, including comprehensive security policy and profile configuration, client assessment, and appropriate mitigation types.
Experience with LTM is not required. Prior WAF knowledge is not required. This course is on the list of approved study resources for the F5 ASM 303 certification exam.
There are no F5-technology-specific prerequisites for this course.
However, completing the following before attending would be very helpful for students with limited BIG-IP administration and configuration experience:
Administering BIG-IP instructor-led course
F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator
Registrants may cancel up to four weeks prior to the first day of class for a full refund. Cancellations received between two-and-four weeks prior to the start date
will be eligible for a full credit to any future training offering. Cancellations received between one-and-two weeks prior to the start date will be eligible for a one-half credit to any future training offering. Any cancellations received less than one week before the first day of class will forfeit the enrolment fee.
Cuebid AB reserves the right to cancel any class up to two weeks before the
first day of class. In the event of a cancellation, all registrants will be eligible for priority rescheduling or a full refund.
Cuebid AB is the only F5 authorized training centre in the Nordic region. Our teachers have been certified and audited by F5 to perform this training. The training has been developed by F5 and we only use official F5 training material. The cost includes the training, documentations, coffee and light snacks during the day, and a full warm lunch.
